Finding Free VOIP

Posted in VOIP at 7:07 am by admin

Some providers and programs will support free VOIP in certain regions or conditions. This is very true for those that use a medium program like Skype or something that has it as an option to the service. These programs and services are being phased out as the places are now seeking to gain an income in this, but this is still an option in some of the methods that will have the person connect PC to PC. This is useful for those that have a microphone and speakers to their PC, for they are what is required.

Some of the free VOIP processes will allow the person to link their cell phone to the pc and to use the phone to talk to the people that they are contacting. This is a newer method and one that has been a challenge to find. Still there are many other methods that are better than this and are still free.

Most of the free calling will be for local calling and some long distance. International calling is almost always charged and that can be a pain to those that have a need to call over seas all the time.

Like regular VOIP, free VOIP is dependant on the internet and uses the data stream to send the voice to the IP at the other end. This is a means that has been free in many locations and there are movements that may make this a thing of the past. If this happens then people may be forced to pay a small fee either monthly or per call.

Some see this as unfair, but this is the risk when one is calling over the internet and wants to have that freedom. Still, free VOIP in the local regions is something that has been nice for those that are either doing telemarketing or have a busy day and have to use the computer over the phone. This has also been a heaven sent for those that have no phone.

With the new technology that is being placed in the internet then only question is will free VOIP remain? This is something that appears to be fading, but that is also something that only time can honestly predict and show. Many people have just learned about VOIP and have appreciated what it has to offer. Hopefully the free aspect will remain to some extent.
